Rhode Island

We left Atlantic City, NJ and were headed for NYC, though the plan didn't turn out the way we anticipated. We were going to leave the truck in Newark, NJ and take the train in but all failed and we decided to skip NYC for now and save it for another vacation.

Now it is Saturday night late by the time we get through NYC traffic. We headed to New Haven, CT to camp but soon found out that they do not sell beer on Sunday and as bad as it sounds we needed some beer to camp for a couple of days so we hung out in New Haven all night trying not spend money on a hotel and slept in our truck.

The next morning, bright and early we headed to Rhode Island, where fortunate for us they sold beer and had campsites! We ended up at this campsite called Burlingame in this little, adorable town called Charlestown, RI. We camped there for three days, went to the beach and hiked some trails.

Joe being goofy.

They have these delicious frozen lemonades up north, Del's Fresh Fruit Drinks. Perfect for the beach.

Charlestown, RI

Joe felt a kindred spirit.
